Bac Ha Market is in Lao Cai Province, 80km from Sapa town and 1hour from there by car. Bac Ha is the biggest market in the region and opens on Sunday only. It’s not only the trading center but it’s also the place for couples, friends, and relatives to gather to sell or trade their goods and to catch up on the gossip. At this market everything is for sale: Textiles, clothing, handy-crafts, food, wine, pigs, dogs, cats, horses and it is the largest market for water buffalo in the region … making this market an incredible sight on Sundays, so make sure your camera is handy.

Detailed Itinerary:
Night 1: 20h00 You will get pick up from your hotel and our trip starts with an overnight train journey from Vietnam`s capital city to the border town of Lao Cai province. The accommodation for tonight will be in soft sleeper berths on express train.
If you with overnight bus, our bus will pick up at 21:00 from hotel .

Day 01: Sapa –Lao Chai – Ta Van ( B, L, D )

Arrive in Lao Cai station at 5:00 in the morning. You are welcomed by driver, then transfer by bus to Sapa. The bus ride uphill to Sa Pa takes a little over an hour, giving you a glimpse of the stunning vistas and impressive rice terraces. You will have breakfast at the hotel before we start 12 km of trekking to visit Y Linh Ho and Lao Chai villages of the H’mong minority. The trekking route offers some challenges as you balance on the rice terraces and a small trail on the steep mountainside. The vegetation is dense as the trail leads up to a peaceful village perched on the Hoang Lien mountainside. Head downhill and relax by a local stream for a picnic lunch. After lunch, we continue trekking to Ta Van village of the Dzay where we have a unique homestay experience.

Day 02: Giang Ta Chai – Sapa (B, L, D)

In the early morning, you will get a wakeup call by our guide and spend time to enjoy a pleasant breakfast. Say goodbye to local people and start a new trek day with more stunning landscapes and other ethnic minority villages dotted as far as your eyes sight. The trails leading you to Su Pan an imagination of down tower steps with a universal view of the house roofs of the Tay minority isolated in a green valley appearing in front of your eyes will mark you an unforgettable trip. In the afternoon, we take a bus to return Sa Pa. Have dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day03: Bac Ha Market – Lao Cai ( B, L, D )

8h00 Check out hotel, Depart to Bac Ha Market , Arrive after 2,5 hours .Free time for visiting one of the most colorful markets in the Northwest of Viet Nam. This big market filled with many different hill-tribes such as Flower Hmong ,Dzay ,Tay ..people .At the market, you have chance to enjoy BacHa people`s simple but unique kinds of food with special wines made from rice, cassavas, corn and different sorts of fruits such as plumps, apples, peaches… talking to the minorities through the guide`s interpretation. After lunch, Say goodbye to BacHa and get back to Lao Cai Station.
Have diner at restaurant near the Lao Cai station before transfer to Station for overnight train back Hanoi .
Arrive at 5 AM . End the trip.
